Firescript/Rescue Calls
Assurance:
Have you read through the rules from the README.md
file in the root folder of this GitHub repository?
Yes
Summary: Overall, the script that I would like added/created is a simple one that adds roleplay to the Blaine County Fire Department. In short, it would work like the below. Similar to PD’s dispatch, BCFD (Blaine County Fire Department) would get a dispatch for an ongoing fire at XXXXX location. When arriving at this location, BCFD would be using either a fire extinguisher or the firetruck to put out the fire. The fire could be the baseline of the script, or to go the extra mile, we could have an NPC who is laying down (/e bumsleep) in the fire who needs to be saved. When the fire is put out, the fire is deemed “Code 4” (all clear) the BCFD would return back to their station. Fires could appear at multiple locations Ace Liquor (Drug Lab) Meth cooking in the hills gone wrong? The hunting grounds Random buildings without an interior Perhaps bank robberies have a small chance to catch the building on fire (from thermite) Perhaps major food establishments having problems in the kitchen? Local cars malfunctioning? Regardless of which locations devs would feel like adding, above are some examples that would be different every time for BCFD to respond to
The second part of this suggestion would be adding a formal rescue call. A formal rescue call would be similar in the aspect of having an NPC “stuck” somewhere that requires BCFD attention. Now that we can carry NPCs, it would allow this to be fairly simple. A dispatch call comes into BCFD, “Someone is stuck at XXXXXX location!” BCFD would either choose their helicopter or ground vehicle to respond depending on the location and would be able to do so. The helicopter allows BCFD to use the rope to rappel down to grab the NPC and recover them safely. The scene would be cleared as “Code 4” when they are brought to the hospital
Reason: Why would your suggestion be a good change to the framework? Overall, BCFD is a department that is trying to add more roleplay of random things people have to deal with every day of their lives. Being that it already has development (being its own trackers/vehicles), the rest of the development makes sense By adding a fire script, it not only adds immersion and things to do for BCFD, but it also adds the same for civilians who need to be in these areas. Sometimes bank jobs go wrong, you accidentally spilled some thermite and caught the building on fire? Someone blew up a Meth cooking RV? By adding the roleplay there, it adds a sense of realism that “anything” can happen for civs in their everyday life.
Ultimately the addition of this would be adding more roleplay in unique scenarios. People don’t really have to worry about fires besides on the occasion their car is disabled or they are pouring thermite in a bank, so adding this script would accomplish this aspect of life in a fun and unique scenario.
This would be a damn cool script to see in action. This is one of the many in here that would be a really unique addition focused on some dope BCFD RP. I think more dynamic world events like these would be huge add.
It has been quite some time since this has been touched so I want to bring this back to life with an update. BCFD RP is going amazing but could really use an upgrade obviously we know we are asking for a lot but we are curious about a fire script we found and how compatible it would be with the server.
We understand that we may never get a fire script but wanted to throw our ideas out there regardless.
This script states that it is compatible with all servers but I cannot be too sure on how all of that works. It does cost money however we are willing to pay the price to benefit the server.
The topic of interest is located under smart fires which would also come with a hose script Link: https://store.londonstudios.net/category/resources
I wanted to inform you all that the Smart Fires script, along with the accompanying hose script, has been acquired as a collective effort by the members of the Blaine County Fire Department. While I understand that the implementation of such a feature is a complex undertaking and may not be guaranteed, this acquisition could be a valuable asset to enhance the roleplay experience, especially for the Blaine County Fire Department.
I acknowledge that there are no guarantees regarding the implementation, but I view this acquisition as a potential starting point to explore the possibilities of introducing fire-related scenarios to the server. My aim is to make the server even more appealing to the GTA roleplay community by offering unique and immersive experiences, and I believe that the addition of a fire script aligns with that goal.
Out of respect for the creators of the script I have not attached the files however I have them and can send them to any dev that needs them.
We will not be adding an external script. Sorry i saw this so late and you had to waste money on it. I would have really preferred you DM me asking if it can be added before spending your money on it...

After a lot of research we have found two scripts that I believe meet our requirements and are freely available. The first script simulates fire, while the second one is for a fire hose. I couldn't find any evidence of them being escrowed.

We are not adding external scripts. Assets n stuff idc, but we avoid adding external scripts since they are a lot harder to maintain and integrate. (I said this in my last comment....)
We completely understand that you won't employ external scripts because the script for legacy is entirely custom. Our intention is to provide something that could serve as a reference point for the dev's if they decide to bring in fire.
