Add configurable limit on bulk data that can be retrieved

When bulk data is very large (and we encountered instances where it can be ~1GB), retrieving it takes minutes, and after all it may not be possible to parse/render the result. We should add a parameter to inform the user when bulk data is too large and will not be retrieved.
