File location and small correction

Open hetzbh opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

I just want to make one correction and ask two questions:

  • Correction: in this Github page, in the explaining and linking to make standalone executables, the link is wrong and should be this one.
  • Question: I'm looking to use this program with 2 computers and a NAS (both Windows). My question: where can I setup the default location that the app will get the files from?
  • Is there a way (or a feature planned) to indicate whether the current edited filed is saved or modified?

Keep up the good work 👍

Hello @hetzbh,

Thank you for writing, I've fixed the error in the README, thank you for writing.

Question: I'm looking to use this program with 2 computers and a NAS (both Windows). My question: where can I setup the default location that the app will get the files from?

I'm afraid it's not possible to do this at the moment. Imaginary Teleprompter saves files internally. On Windows this means files are stored in a small database that's contained under the AppData folder.

We are planning to add the ability to save and load files in v3.0 of our software.

Is there a way (or a feature planned) to indicate whether the current edited filed is saved or modified?

I wasn't planning on providing this feedback, because file saving occurs frequently and is pretty much instant. But now that you mention it, I think it should be added because v3.0 will have a redesigned file saving functionality, and the possibility to later add a feature that enables files to sync remotely will be there.
