unified mode
The last view weeks I was working hard to get the first version of the unified mode done. I think it's now in a state where others can play with it as well. I kept the unified mode really simple for now..i.e its currently only possible to switch between labels but not create new ones.
I think the unified mode has huge potential, but before I extend it further I would like to get a bit more feedback whether the unified mode is going into the right direction or not.
The unified mode is currently not yet exposed via UI. In case you wanna give it a shot, just add &view=unified to the URL. e.g: https://imagemonkey.io/annotate?mode=browse&view=unified
Any feedback is really appreciated :)
@dobkeratops would love to get feedback from a power user :). Do you think the unified mode is going into the right direction?
broken laptop drama stalling me at the minute (moving from half-repaired machine, have to figure out if i will fully repair or replace .. split mac vs linux/win strategy) .. will take a proper look soon enough, great to see progress on this

hope you didn't lose any data due to the crash :/
ok , good progress.it's already useful to be able to switch labesl with this whilst looking at the image. Being able to add a label in this view (maybe a + in the label area) would complete it's utility. THe icing on the cake would be an option to show all the annotations rendered with feint outlines, so you can reason about image coverage.. showing the current one normal , you could stillflick between them to verify what things are. An advanced option would be to display some text her things, but that would take a lot of refinement (eg avoinding it where the boxes overlap too much) . I could imagine something figuring out the best combination of colour coding and text overlays, eventually/ No need for that yet.. just the basic ability to work this way is a huge step forward
(no data loss thankfully. just inconenience and un-necassery expense due to clumsy error with soup, i should know better. My desktop machine is better for work anyway.

great to hear that you haven't lost any data. I remember the days where my Windows XP machine randomly crashed with a bluescreen of death. I lost so much data due to those random crashes...

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, I'll get back to you soon with some improvements :)
