It'd be a very good idea to try to reproduce in some way the custom queries functionality that PhpReport 1.3 had. Some of us used that functionality a lot.

@jaragunde does this issue still make sense? I would advocate for us to use metabase for this type of use case instead of exposing the DB in the application.
