Add endpoint routing in the style of MapIdentityManager

Can you elaborate little more? I'm using endpoint routing in my private sandbox app here in this way

I'm not sure yet. I feel like IdentityManager should be able to drop the MVC dependency (at least for the API part).

I'm not sure what a good approach would be or what appetite there is for a separate API & UI.
