Save default sort order as preference

I would like to be able to specify an alternate default sort order for different pages. For example, when looking at most pages, I prefer to sort by hostname. But since it doesn't save previous sort settings, I have to change the sort order every time I navigate to a different page. It would be nice to be able to store the preferred sort order in the user preferences (whether that's a different preference per page, or a single preference that's used if applicable, and ignored if not (e.g., sort by hostname isn't applicable to the hostgroups page, so it uses the system default.

We are working a lot with the icingaweb UI and we would love to have some application and user preferences like "default_service_sort" and "default_host_sort" which should be applied if no specific sort parameter is applied in the url. So, ideally, the order is application setting < user preference < URL.

Is there a way to sponsor the development of a feature like this?
