Director as Debian package

Open Stefomat opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

I have an idea for an improvement

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

No problem, it's more about installation and updates

Describe the solution you'd like

Many modules are packaged as Debian packages and can be installed via them, e.g. icinga-php-library, icingaweb2-module-monitoring, icingaweb2-module-doc, etc. The Director does not have such a package, can we have that for that too?

Describe alternatives you've considered

Debian already has a package in its official repos (icingaweb2-module-director), but it's old and I'd rather use the latest version of the director.

Greetings

Thanks for the link, I will have a look. One question though, why are these packages not available from "Icinga itself"? I know that most of the Icinga developers sit at Netways, but wouldn't it be nice to have the packages in the official repos?
