Extraction of VPK Files only creates folders

Hey there, I know this project hasn't received any updates in a long time, but maybe this is something you can help with:

When running the extraction executable vpk.exe from within the CSSource files, only the directories are being created, not the files themselves, although they show up in the STDOUT of the extraction program. I've noticed the same issue appears when running your tool, so I'm assuming this is the same issue.

Do you have an idea what could lead to this and how to resolve this?
