"Unpublished" Files Appearing in Search Results for Anonymous Users
Description: An issue has been identified where anonymous users are able to see files labeled as "Unpublished" in the search results on Dataverse, even though these files are actually published. The problem arises when users apply filters, such as the "Files" filter, which then exposes the "Publication Status" facet. When selecting the "Unpublished" filter option, it displays content as "Unpublished" incorrectly.
What steps does it take to reproduce the issue?
- Navigate to https://dataverse.harvard.edu/.
- Select "View All Data."
- Check the "Files" filter under the search filters.
- Under the "Publication Status" section, the "Unpublished" option will appear.
- Select the "Unpublished" filter option. This will result in the "Unpublished" label appearing, as seen in the provided screenshot, even though the files appear to be published when viewed individually.
-
To whom does it occur (all users, curators, superusers)? All users
-
