All data specifications - CRS table -> link to INSPIRE registry
Change proposal description
For all data specifications: remove the table "http URIs for the default coordinate reference systems" and add the link to the coordinate reference systems register in the INSPIRE registry.
Addressed TG
All data specifications.
Location
This will impact Section 6.1.1.4 "Identifiers for coordinate reference systems" of all data TGs and Section 5.5 "Identifiers" of the RS TG.
Issue faced
The IR on the interoperability of spatial data sets and services amendment (see COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2023/2431), foresees the creation of a "register of CRS".
To further reduce the implementation and maintenance burden, a register of CRS, including their definition and transformation parameters, should be established and operated by the Commission services (Joint Research Centre) with assistance from the existing expert group.
Proposed solution
All data specifications shall be updated with the following change: the table "http URIs for the default coordinate reference systems" shall be removed and a reference to the relevant register in the INSPIRE registry shall be added instead.
Pull request
TBD for each data specification available on GitHub.
