How should link descriptions handle multiple paragraphs?

If you put in a multi-paragraph description on a link,

Paragraph the first.

Paragraph the second.

Paragraph the third.

The description will be mashed down to a single paragraph for the purposes of Link Roundup posts.

Audio in the Browser: Horrors and Joys – Learning – Source: An OpenNews project – Paragraph the first. Paragraph the second. Paragraph the third.

Some options:

 •
between the former paragraphs, within the

 • Let paragraphs be paragraphs, wrap the whole description in a
and let paragraphs be paragraphs
 • Trim the description with something like largo_excerpt down to just one paragraph, and warn that that's the limit in the description editor
