Incorrect value for bandwidth and possibly for laser energy
Hi,
Description
I think I didn't find the time to introduce that I am working at iThera Medical with Dr. Guillaume Zanhd (director of imaging and research). I am working on a short project to test state-of-the-art non-linear unmixing methods (on an Acuity set-up). This is why I am asking a lot of questions here. Thanks for your thourough help by the way !
So I reviewed a bit my simulation with Guillaume and other people from my team and they told me that, for MSOT Acuity Echo :
- The bandwith used is incorrect, and should be 153%. Where does the 55% value that you entered by default come from ?
- The average value of 50 mJ for laser energy seems very high. The last calibration of the system that we are currently using seems to show values closer to 10-12 mJ in the range 700 to 900 nm. Again, where does your value come from ?

Hi, thanks for the context information and I'm happy to help! :)
- Bandwidth: This value was given to us from our application specialist at the time. If you are certain that it is 153%, then we're happy to change it :D
- Laser energy: 50 mJ is just a "random" example value for an example system. Since we usually laser-correct the real data, and the laser energy is just a multiplicative factor that is cancelled out when normalizing, it didn't matter too much for us
I checked again with them abd 55 % is the value for the US mode and not the optoacoustic one. And OK perfect for the laser energy, I get your point thanks.
