Blindness is slow to apply by default (short duration blindness barely takes effect)
Was doing some tests and noticed that when the mod is enabled, the Blindness effect completely stops working. Is it a known issue? Or is it just another mod conflicting with it? I'm playing on Forge 1.20.1 with a couple other mods installed (can list them if needed), although disabling the Fog mod fixes Blindness not working.

Actually, it doesn't really stop working, it just takes like 10 seconds to fully activate: the "black" fog of the Blindness effect slowly creeps up, until it becomes like normal Blindness. Gotta say, it's rather cool scene-whise, but the problem is that if you get affected by Blindness for only 3 seconds, the effect becomes pretty much useless and more of a nuisance.
In the config you can change the transition speed of blindness/darkness (darknessTransitionSpeed).
I think we'll leave this as is for now, I'll keep it open for tracking though. This is probably something that should be fixed for blindness in particular (e.g. in PVP).

I'm observing this too - when set to short durations with "darknessTransitionSpeed" is set to its max (0.5), the blindness effect essentially acts as a lesser version of the darkness effect due to the lack of "pulsing". A blindness patch would be very cool to see, in your own time of course :) Perhaps a fog distance multiplier specifically for the blindness effect?
