Slate Description

Hi @all,

as a result of the Feature Workshop "Slate content should always be displayed in mobile view" on 15 AUG 2023, the description of the KS component "Slate" shall be extended.

Thx a lot. I labelled this for discussion for the next JF.

Maybe we should consider a wording such as:

  • The grid system in Slates SHOULD apply rules for small screen sizes due to the limited space available.

This gives as some room for handling exceptions but leaves a mark to point to should questions arise in the future.

Jour Fixe, 21 AUG 2023 : We highly appreciate this PR and accept it for trunk with the following change: • Please use the wording of Timon's suggestion. • Please add an example to the definition of Slates in the UI framework that illustrates the effect of this change.

As next step, the following would need to be done:

  • [ ] Wording: Change the wording according to the JF decision.
  • [ ] CSS: Implement the requested CSS change to force the look for small layout for the grid system.
