May I ask what version of NEST you used in your simulation and what Python version you utilized?

I have run this with Python 3.5 and nest 2.12.0 in the past. @schmitts has probably run it with more recent versions of these packages.

I have tried with Nest 3.3 and Python 3.8 but I failed. Now I‘m trying Nest 2.16.0 and Python 3.6. Wish everything working.
