IBM Plex Sans SC – Missing some (standard) characters

There are some characters (part of the standard repertoire) that are present in most IBM Plex Sans fonts but are missing from the SC... see screenshot.

Is there a chance to add these with a next update?

Character sets in Plex Sans CJK fonts can indeed differ from other members of the family. They have been based on layouts that are common for their respective territories.

We made no attempt to avoid these differences since we consider the characters in question non-essential for supporting Korean, Japanese, or Chinese language. Fixing this will have a low priority.

Thanks. I am asking for a client who wants to use IBM Plex Sans SC and wants to replace the existing (probably custom) CJK font that contains these characters.

Is there a schedule for updating the SC version?

At present there is no schedule for updating Plex Sans SC.
