Better Indication of Current Account Being Viewed

Open c64whiz opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

(Feature Request) I have 3 different accounts within Cawbird and while drilling down into a reply of a tweet, and then viewing the profile of a person, I was deciding to follow or not. However, I couldn't tell which of my accounts I was currently viewing within.

When on the primary timeline, the title bar of the window shows the account, but when you drill into tweets, replies, or profiles, the title bar shows the titles or user name of the profile...not my current account anymore.

Furthermore, if I click on the upper-left button for a list of my accounts, the one currently being viewed is not indicated (highlighted, bold font, etc.).

To be fair, if my accounts had profile pictures, the upper-left button would tell me (they currently do not, so the images are the same). However, I don't think we should have to have a profile pictures to distinguish between accounts. I'd like it to be a feature of Cawbird as well, even if in some small way (i.e. an underlining of the account name in the upper-left list of accounts).

Thanks.

We'll need to consider this under #177. But I can't see an obvious way to do this without adding too much clutter.

If you're viewing Favourites or Lists or something then the title becomes the name of that section. If you're viewing a profile then the title becomes the profile that you're viewing. If we always keep your name in the titlebar then you don't have an easy reference for which section you're viewing. And if we try to combine the current username with the section then a) it may get a bit long and b) "myname - theirname" isn't a great way to present it.

We probably should do more with highlighting the current again, though. @CodedOre's mockups already do that with a tick mark for the current one.
