[Windows 10] Touchscreen offset

Open EnchantedTorch opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Tested on build #380 on Windows 10 Touchscreen input is vertically offset by a seemingly abritrary amount. Offset seems to be unrelated to window size as shown in recording below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiEofWRRMgk

Edit: Offset seems to be both horizontal and vertical, with the direction of offset being different depending on which side of the screen is being pressed? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7TS77II-cY

Touchscreen coordinates are calculated based on the calibration data stored in the firmware. Are you using a firmware dump? I wonder if the calibration data is wonky somehow. You can try moving/deleting your firmware file and have it fall back to the generated one, to see if that "fixes" the problem.

Ah, yep. This one was user error. Thanks for the help.

Still, this is something worth considering. Maybe we should just override the firmware data and supply our own, to avoid this sort of issue.
