[Feature Request] - Candlesticks for financial time series annotation

Open dracpet opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

This is my first Issue/Feature Request, because I really like Label Studio 😊, I'm sorry if something is not quite right

Candlesticks are the most widely used format for visualising and annotating financial price data (in TradingView for example). But TradingView won't let you export the annotations. This is how I found Label Studio.

Checking the open issues, I see this could be related to plotting more than one series per channel, as candlesticks are formed by open, high, low and close data. Right now I have this data in four separate channels (as below) which is not ideal.

Describe the solution you'd like

Be able to plot open, high, low and close variables for financial price data in the same channel in candlesticks format (as below).

Also drawing basic lines on the chart/channel would be amazing 😊

Describe alternatives you've considered

I tried annotating on only the close time series (single channel), but the window is very small and doesn't fill the whole screen (see below), which makes it hard to see the details. Would be nice if it would use the whole screen automatically, I tried a lot of parameters and with Cursor helping me, the maximum I could do was send the channel to the bottom of the screen, but the top part stays empty.

Additional context

I searched all the Issues twice and found some similar issues but not the same issue. Wasn't sure if to comment on similar issues or open a new one. Also, not sure if the "alternatives I've tried" part should a be a separate issue, since it's related to my use case but may be a separate issue.

I know it's been a while but thanks for the feature request @dracpet, we really appreciate it. Our team is a bit backed up right now but we'll think through the use case here and see if it's possible to work on implementing.
