SIM800L V2 connection failure

serial mon does not show at+cstt="hologram". connection fails when using KitchenSink or Blink sketches. manually entering the following commands results in a successful connection:

at+cfun=1 OK at+cstt=“hologram”,"","" OK at+ciicr OK at+csq +CSQ: 12,6 OK at+cgatt? +CGATT: 1 OK
