Feature request: regex filter for Contacts

Is it possible to implement a regex filter for contacts?

I guess not because they are as far as I know not transmitted by any monitoring server.

We are using OP5 and it seems to be able to list/filter on contacts(groups) according to the docs

host.contact_groups | list | A list of all contact groups this host is in host.contacts | list | A list of all contacts of this host, either direct or via a contact group
