So, why are contacts sometimes shown (in the call history) using their name and sometimes just by their phone number? Same person\number. That seems odd.

That may happen if your phone contacts are saved as local numbers (without the plus sign).

At the same time, I can confirm that this behaviour is not correct, I'll look into it later.

Update. After opening the default phone app on my Sony phone, contact names show up normally in the call history (the ones that were only shown as numbers before that). I hope this helps.
