Step 1: Please describe your environment

  • ZeroNet version: rev4555
  • Operating system: Linux
  • Web browser: FF

Step 2: Describe the problem:

I have been running Zeronet for 30 minutes and in the debug.log i have found 40 000 times the error: verify sign error: VerifyError: No rules for this file in ContentManager.py line 988 > 814 and it is now growing a few hundred per minute (Log mode - EVERYTHING).

full log line example: WARNING Site:1MoonP..5ux2 data/users/1FjdDwGPpDHUn3Pp19ey486HuePfvuiyNg/content.json: verify sign error: VerifyError: No rules for this file in ContentManager.py line 988 > 814

but it happen also for other sites, like ThunderWave

Maybe related to my attempt to rebuild content.db ?

What do you suggest please?

I have the same issue. Looks something like that: debug.zip

I'm on Win10, no TOR. On some zites it seems I can't sync properly. I.e. ZeroNet Dev Zone stuck on Initial sync in progress... message.

I no longer see this, i am guessing that the issue disappeared after i was messing with the content.db (moving it away and let ZN rebuild) or disabling some addons. Or using original zeronet bundle etc.

You were using ZNE bundle at that time? I will try to dig into plugins disabling too, but if the issue exists, it would be nice to know more about why is it happening.

I was wrong, found this error 5000+ times in the log today, created bug report on ZN-enhanced too. Last time i have tried to rename ZN/data/content.db i had some issue with zerotalk loading IIRC, but renaming it while ZN is stopped and starting ZN may be one thing noob like me would try. I have tried to restart ZN and within like 2 hour after that i have seen 6 such errors.
