"Autospace after punctuation" not adding a space after commas & periods

Describe the bug

I'm not sure if the configuration option "Autospace after punctuation" isn't working properly or if it refers to other functionality. If the latter, I suppose this could be considered a feature request.

To Reproduce

Type a comma or period.

Expected behavior

A space is automatically added after.
