Feature Request: Advanced Clipboard History Management & UI/UX Improvements

First off, I want to express my immense gratitude for Heliboard. It is, without a doubt, the most outstanding keyboard I have ever used. I've tested countless alternatives, and each had its strengths and weaknesses. Heliboard is the first one that masterfully combines all the strengths while eliminating the weaknesses. It's truly a work of art.

One of the features I particularly admire is the privacy-conscious clipboard that clears its history (except for pinned items) as soon as the keyboard is closed. This is a brilliant design choice. However, I have a few suggestions to make this already great feature even more powerful and user-friendly, while still respecting its privacy-first foundation.

Here are my proposals:

1. Optional Persistent Clipboard History It would be incredibly useful to have an option in the settings to enable persistent clipboard history (e.g., saving the last 100 items).

  • Crucially, this option should be DISABLED by default. This ensures that the default behavior remains private, and only users who explicitly want this feature will enable it.
  • (My suggestion): A "Clear History" button within the settings and perhaps a search bar at the top of the history panel would make this feature incredibly powerful.

2. Improved Readability for Clipboard History By default, the clipboard history is displayed in a two-column grid. When the font size is increased, it becomes difficult to distinguish and read the individual entries in this layout.

  • (My suggestion): It would be a great usability improvement to add an option in the settings to change the history layout. For example, allowing the user to select a one-column, two-column, or three-column view. A single-column list view would make the entries much easier to read and find.

3. Dedicated Action Buttons for Clipboard Items The current long-press-to-pin is functional, but a more direct and feature-rich approach would be a huge usability improvement. I suggest adding a set of small action buttons for each clipboard entry.

  • Proposed Actions: Preview (to see the full text), Pin, Select/Copy, and Delete.
  • (My suggestion): This could be implemented as small icons next to each entry or within a three-dot menu to keep the interface clean. For example:

    [ Clipboard Item Text Snippet... ] [👁️ Preview] [📌 Pin] [📋 Copy] [🗑️ Delete]

Heliboard is already 99% of the way to being the perfect keyboard. I believe these additions, especially if implemented as optional features, would cover that final 1% and make it untouchable.

Thank you for considering these suggestions and for your phenomenal work on this project!
