Feature Request: Persian Dictionary & Enhanced Suggestions

First, Thank You! 🙏

Thank you for developing this amazing all-in-one keyboard! It's been incredibly useful.

Suggestions for Improvement:

1. Persian (Farsi) Dictionary Support

The keyboard currently lacks Persian dictionary support. Adding a Persian dictionary would greatly improve the typing experience for Farsi users.

2. Multi-Word & Phrase Predictions

Currently, next-word suggestions are limited to single words. It would be very helpful to extend this to:

  • 2-3 word predictions
  • Short phrase suggestions
  • Common expression completions

3. Flexible Clipboard Layout

The clipboard feature is excellent! Please add an option to switch between:

  • 2-column layout (current)
  • 1-column layout (for better content visibility and readability)

This would make clipboard items much easier to read, especially for longer text snippets.

Additional improvement: Long-press on clipboard icon to preview/show clipboard content directly (instead of just pinning).

4. Faster Learning for Unsupported Languages

For languages without dictionary support (like Persian or others), implement faster word learning and saving functionality. This would help the keyboard adapt more quickly to user's vocabulary and typing patterns.

Would love to see these features in future updates!

I added a Persian dictionary to the dictionaries repository

I added a Persian dictionary to the dictionaries repository

Thank you for the quick response! 🙏

However, I checked the dictionaries repository and unfortunately the Persian (Farsi) dictionary appears to be missing or has been removed.

Current situation:

  • Emoji dictionary is available
  • ❌ Persian/Farsi dictionary is not present in the repository

What I found: When I browse the dictionaries folder, I can only see the emoji dictionary file. The Persian language dictionary (.dict file or similar) doesn't exist or may have been accidentally deleted.

Could you please:

  1. Re-check if the Persian dictionary was actually added to the repository?
  2. If it was removed, could you restore it or add it again?
  3. Let me know the correct path/location where I should look for it?

I really appreciate your work on this keyboard and looking forward to using it with Persian support! 🙏

Sorry, I forgot to push the commit. Now it's available: https://codeberg.org/Helium314/aosp-dictionaries/src/branch/main/dictionaries_experimental/main_fa_ir.dict

Wow, this is fantastic news! Thank you so much for adding the Persian dictionary. This is a game-changer for Persian-speaking users, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to implement it.

Well, I can't guarantee it's actually good (that's why it's in experimental folder)

You can stop worrying – it's not just "good," it's absolutely phenomenal!

I've just finished testing the new experimental Persian dictionary, and I'm blown away. At 12MB, it is by far the most complete and comprehensive Persian dictionary I have ever encountered on any mobile keyboard.

My initial tests are perfect. The word suggestions are excellent, and the vocabulary is massive – it has successfully recognized every single word I've thrown at it so far.

This is a game-changing improvement for all Persian-speaking users. Thank you so much for this incredible work. In my opinion, it's more than ready to graduate from the "experimental" folder!
