Different size of keyboard for the emoji page

I think it would be very useful for some to have the option to choose a different size (keyboard height scale, side padding scale, etc) for the emoji page. For example, I like my keyboard to have a compact size while typing, but I do appreciate seeing a lot of emojis when picking them, to avoid loosing time scrolling and trying to find the one I want.

Describe the solution you'd like A new setting to allow choosing a specific size of the keyboard, identical to the currently implemented under Appearance, but particular to when the keyboard is on the emoji page. When in the emoji page, the keyboard would automatically resize to the specified size of the emoji page, and when the emoji page would be closed the keyboard would come back to the standard size.

Have you tried decreasing Emoji view font scale? That would help with seeing a lot of emojis (though smaller) without resizing the keyboard.

I saw it, yes! Problem is, my phone has a "compact" screen (for today's standard), so I cannot reduce it much without the emojis being impractically tiny. I think the solution of having two variable sizes would be quite convenient for some people, don't you think? Is it very complicated to implement, maybe?

I don't think it's very complicated to implement, but I can see two possible issues with it:

• a jarring experience when switching modes
• an explosion of settings (mode * orientation * split)
