Word proposing break auto filled logins.
Hi. I love Heliboard as a free replacement for Gboard, but it has some flaws. One of them particularly annoying is that propositions of words break autofill functionality when you try to log in anywhere. Lately tested on Reddit, using Iceraven (Mozilla) autofill. Unlocking browser autofill needs credentials or biometric login (which I use). With propositions enabled you can't login via fingerprint or faceid, they are stopped on the fly and you need to fail 3 times until you're able to input system password. Very time consuming and annoying. Heliboard should differ normal input from login inputs. Any chance to fix soon?
3 months from now? Anyway thx for the info, I'll try some workaround myself, but that issue should definitely be fixed, don't you think?
OMG, another chromium based browser, oh no...
Yeah this happens to me all the time. Extremely frustrating to manually type a long email address, only to press dot for dot com and BAM the long address has been "corrected" to some random string that was nothing like what I typed and there's no undo button visible, PLUS there was no option in the suggestions panel to just select what I was actually typing, which is really weird.
This anti-feature forces me to switch keyboard app when inputting email addresses. The more times we have to switch to another keyboard, the less we're gonna use this one.
P.s. it seems that that commenter had some kind of beef with the developer and their comments got deleted. I think they were trying to make drama.
Hey, there was an update to 3.4 on IzzyOnDroid so dev is not quite off presence.
Btw. That commenter (yurisomething, kiddy psycho) I have reported and blocked, no need to care about beyond that.
I'm not sure I understand the issue. @rafnov you say that having suggestions breaks logins. From your description I don't understand what is going on.
@fazzaan for you the problem seems different, as it's not having suggestions, but having them autocorrected, right? You should have 3 options
- when the current word will be autocorrected, the typed word should be second in the suggestions. If the word is long you might need to open the more suggestions popup (swipe up or long press the single suggestion)
- you can use the delete key to undo an autocorrect
- you can add an undo button to the toolbar
Though ideally mail addresses would only be autocorrected to mail addresses if I understand correctly.

I don't remember ever interacting with them, but whatever.
I'm not sure now, sir, because I dropped KeePass, but as long I recall it was suggestion of Heliboard that covered logging details of KeePass auto fill. But as I wrote just before, I've dropped KeePass so issue may be irrelevant, but I will observe. There's no other keyboard like Heliboard.
Hm, maybe someone else still has the problem. It certainly should not happen that the inline autofill is covered by suggestions.
