“floating keyboard” feature
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Yes, I make a lot of comments with the device horizontally and I usually use the floating keyboard feature because it's more practical for typing, but when it's horizontally the button to switch keyboards doesn't appear.
Describe the solution you'd like
- add the floating option to always be activated when the screen is turned and with a button on the toolbar to switch manually;
- add the display of the system's "switch keyboard" and "hide keyboard" buttons (which are located in the device's navigation bar) as with other keyboards.
Use case so I can use an alternative one while I have it on screen turned. So I have to turn the device around to type or try to use the "one-handed typing" option, but I don't like it because even at the minimum size, it's still too wide to type with one hand or using gestures...
Describe alternatives you've considered (if any)
Would love heliboard to directly support a floating keyboard option, but otherwise an easy way to switch when in landscape (or in my case with an opened foldable phone) would be useful
Workaround meanwhile: insert a fully transparent background
