Personal dictionary does not save scroll state
Describe the bug When viewing/adding a word in the Personal dictionary, you lose your scroll progress
To Reproduce
- Open the Personal dictionary
- Scroll down far-ish
- Tap on a word or press the + to add a word
- Click back
- You are transported back to the top of the personal dictionary
Expected behavior You should remain where you were in the personal dictionary
App version 2.2
Device:
- Model: Pixel 8
- OS: GrapheneOS
The integrated editor for the personal dictionary only exists because a contributor wanted to add it. I will not do any work on this, as the Android system akready provides an Editor for the personal dictionary.
I can't reproduce this bug. I guess you're describing the personal dictionary in the phone settings. This bug does not appear in the personal dictionary located in the keyboard settings.
It's the second issue posted by @An-anonymous-coder that's impossible to reproduce... Maybe it's a problem with his device. 🤔
About this one, even after adding a word, the scrolling state remains the same. As @Uranusek points out, I'm also talking about the words in the personal dictionary in Heliboard.
I was referring to the personal dictionary in settings. Should I provide a video displaying this behavior?
It seems this may be the wrong place to put this. For this issue and my other issue, I was referring to the spell checker in settings, which I presumed was maintained in some part by HeliBoard. This does not turn out to be the case, and is instead an issue that should be reported to AOSP.

Yep. I saw the screenshot in your other issue and to me it looks like a personal dictionary in the phone settings. The dictionary in the keyboard settings looks different.
