Main characters is diplayed as secondary characters in custom layouts

Describe the bug The main character is displayed as secondary characters in custom layouts

To Reproduce Enter Settings — Languages and Layouts — Select a language — Add a custom layout — Insert an additional first line containing digits and secondary characters as shown on the screenshot:

Expected behaviour When the layout is used, the secondary characters displayed shall be some of the added value.

Actual behaviour When the layout is used, the secondary characters displayed on the first row are the same as the primary ones.

@CM630 It's not a bug.

Normally, you have to play with the "Select popup key order" and "Select hint source" settings.

In the "Select popup key order" setting, I think if you move to the first position the "Layout" setting, this should solve your problem.

Test it and don't hesitate to give feedback.

You can also disable the number row in Select popup key order

Thanks, I set “Layout” on the top of “Select hint source” and “Select popup key order” and now it is fine. Still maybe auto disabling the secondary hint when it is the same as the primary makes sense. Or maybe auto switching to the next not-equal one.
