Any chance it is intended? It 'loses' divine shield when it is transformed.

They didn't document the revision to the transform mechanic in patch 11.2. That is presumably because it was not meant to have any effect on gameplay logic. That would mean any cases where it does affect the gameplay logic are unintended.

Besides there is another bug. If you copy (Molten Reflection) or Faceless a minion that originally has Divine Shield but loses it, Bolvar triggers. Obviously this is relevant to the mechanic changes of copy and transform in Patch 11.2 and 12.0.

Encountered during arena, opponent got a Bolvar, fire blood in play, I broke its divine shield, next turn he played a faceless manipulator copying bolvar, which proceeded to gain then lose divine shield, causing both to gain attack. Seems a bit wrong.

The copy process buffed both Bolvars into 5/6. As if the copy had divine shield and lost in the process of copying.
