Really low FPS in Windows 11

Bug report

Game is barely playable with HDT overlay enabled. 20-30 FPS on high-end comp, frequent stuttering. Tried the troubleshooting from the FAQ. There is no Windows Aero on Windows 11 though. No luck with the Windows Defender exception either.

The problem also happens with other overlay applications. Googling only yielded other lone Windows 11 users with the same issue, but no solution. Any chance to get a fix for this?

Same issue here, though I only have the problem in fullscreen mode. Windowed Hearthstone runs fine even with HDT.

Quick update: The new Hearthstone patch did not fix the problem. Even though, as igsey said, the frame drops only happen in fullscreen mode, it is still a major nuisance since HS doesn't provide a borderless windowed mode.

The new frame rate option in HS doesn't help either.

Quite the contrary, it does not provide an exclusive fullscreen mode.
