Contact Haxe community and maintain a list of available speakers (let's contact first the speakers from previous WWX'es), also make a list of important conferences and make sure we get at list one, preferably several, talks submitted. Haxe Foundation can cover travel expenses if the conference does not already.

Here are some links ( we 'll have to do some curation) :

This would be the speaker profile I was talking about. I think we should compile events first and then actively look for speakers to go to those specific events.

Let's see, there's the various GDC's:

GDC (San Francisco, the "big" one) GDC China (Shanghai) GDC Europe (Cologne, Germany)

They used to have a GDC in Austin but that's gone now.

There is SXSW (South by SouthWest) in Austin, which started as a music festival but has a huge tech focus as of late: http://sxsw.com/

Other approaches are perhaps to find other existing niche tech and language focused conventions that might have crossover appeal. Maybe something like PyCon could be interested in Haxe Python target for instance.

Within Germany I can easily make day-trips to Cologne and Frankfurt. I can also take a plane (from Cologne or Frankfurt :P) to Berlin as well as the rest of Germany.

Beside Nico, I volunteer for France of course but I would really like to have a "serious App" sibling as my game focus can hurt. Maybe Silex, David mouton or Stephane Ledorze could be interested ? Le 5 juin 2015 12:11, "Simon Krajewski" [email protected] a écrit :

Ok, so everybody is quite happy to go to events in their region. May I task all of you with finding 3 events that you would like to go to (those of you who haven't put down any yet).

@andyli is there anything you need from us for preparation for your events? Just give me lots of shout-outs and we will try to make that happen.

Okay, I wasn't aware of any dev conference here in Brazil. I'll look them up, and update this comment as I find them. But I've found for now:

  • http://mobilebrazilconference.com.br/ - for mobile development
  • http://qconsp.com/ - software development in general
  • http://braziljs.com.br/ - javascript development
  • http://www.thedevelopersconference.com.br/ - software development in general

There are also a lot of language-specific conferences, like PHP, Python or Ruby, I'm not sure it's worth looking at them.

In Amsterdam there will be also OSCON Europe: http://www.oscon.com/open-source-eu-2015 for open sources technologies

I'll probably go at http://gamelier.org/open-game-development-room-at-fosdem-call-for-participation/, I'll apply for a speach about how to do cross platform development and OSS or gamedev without Unity or something trendy like this.

If someone come up a better idea, feel free to mail me cc @larsiusprime @ncannasse

Just FYI...I am speaking about Haxe at an event in Romania this Saturday. The event is called CodeCamp and it is for developers to share and learn together. A perfect environment to speak about Haxe, I think. I'm still working on my presentation, but if you have any advice or recommendations for things to cover and ways to talk about Haxe, I'm all ears!

CodeCamp: http://iasi.codecamp.ro

I'll be happy to share my presentation after the event as well.
