Sorry, I wasn't clear. This has only been tested on versions as high as version 1.7, so it may not work on newer versions.

Thank you for the heads up. I just haven't found a compelling enough reason to upgrade to jQuery 1.11 or jQuery 2 on my own site. Once I do I'll need to update this code. You are more than welcome to fix it and commit the change.
