I've experienced this issue a few times too, but I think it's exclusively with Vic. I don't think I've ever observed it with omxplayer.

I don't know how my setup makes a difference but I've just tried that same youtube URL (including the AEce22afpbU part) and it downloaded and played on my Pi 5...

I'd like to give this suggestion a load of up-votes!
