Best settings to minimize amazon soft ban?

Open welnaseth opened this issue 4 years ago • 13 comments

So I was using the default settings and have been soft banned (I hope its a soft ban) by amazon after roughly 12-13 hours of use. Are there better settings to minimize this possibility? I'm now out of luck if an amazon drop happens before the ban is lifted so I'm just wondering how others have been handling this.

Sure, I have a VPN on, but the chrome user agent has now been soft banned on my account, it's not IP based. The bot still works on smile.amazon.com but it just sucks that I need to use edge for normal amazon use until the soft ban lifts.

I think that setting smile as amazon site in amazon_config.json is a method to avoid soft ban. I am not aware of bans from smile.site.

Hmmm so smile.amazon.com is the default and I haven't changed it from that yet I still have been soft banned on the regular amazon site. If you're confident I shouldn't get a soft ban then maybe it was something else I did, but it occurred right after I ran this overnight so the timing would be really coincidental...

I've gotten a soft ban (hopefully soft ), on amazon.com as well. Smile is still working though. I still have the bot running so hopefully it isn't an issue.

I recomended delay the bot 5 Seconds, and Max 3 ASIN. Result = 0 dogs !

Had 3 ASIN groups, total 31 ASIN, ran for ~3 hours and got a soft ban on the account (not just IP) sh#t

I'm not sure it's a soft ban; might be able to get back to a normal state by clearing your cache/cookies/etc, and possibly entering a captcha. Regardless, 3 seconds seems to be too much for long term use. So, if you are able to clear the browser's data and get back in, change the delay or approach to the delay (e.g., randomize it within some bounds) so you don't actually get banned.

May also want to use a new/second Amazon account.

everybody using the bot with 1 sec delay. How are they able to use it without soft ban? Are they manipulating google cookies or something? With 5 sec delay no chance to get a solid card...

How many instances of the bot do people typically run? ... What delay are you all using? ... Do you let it run overnight or only for set amounts of time? .... Id like to not be banned if possible obviously but ive been trying for a GPU since they released and have had NO luck. Hoping that this will work but dont want to get banned

I have come to find out that no one wants to help anyone actually use fairgame to get a card. I ran it overnight last night and today on my amazon account when I select buying options on any browser it looks like the overlay is going to load but it never does and then the screen freezes. Have no clue why. I can still checkout items but any that have the buying options I can never see them to add to cart
