[Variant] Bottom Decker

Open kwprules opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

A variant in which any time a card (besides 1?) is discarded before the other copy is drawn, the other copy is automatically placed at the bottom of the deck.

Interestingly, you could never get a perfect score after a bottom deck risk, but players could intentionally get more BDRs to line up the correct draw order at the bottom of the deck.

Is it really interresting? You treat that suit like a critical suit, and that's pretty much it. So you could run into a situation where Bob who got a 4 saved don't know if the 4 of that suit is critical or not, but that look the only interresting point.

It's different from a critical suit. You can still draw multiple copies at the same time, and because there's two copies instead of one, you draw the first copy of each card sooner. I like this a lot

Hum I see, I should instead think of this as a critical suit which don't have downside of a critical suit. Ok, I like it way more on that side.

I was thinking of it not being a suit but instead being a variant that affects every card. But it could also be a suit I suppose.

If you affect that to every suit, I don't like it though, because it just became a normal variant you try to optimise.

One of the thing which happen in that variant is that any useful card discarded wrote elimination notes on all others players if they want max score... Which is fine, but that feel weird.
