@theeko74 No this is not working: Win10 O 5.6.2 + master. Double canvas. Os soon the mouse cursor is outside OCPN window e.g. over Win desktop O is crashing.

Yes, but it's not always transmitted from the GNSS receiver. So we shouldn't rely on it's presence. But if received and the value is "no GPS" we would act as...

That's true. We can't, what I learned, tweak Win's own territory. This is discussed in an old issue where @transmitterdan suggested a (partial) fix.
