excessive battery consumption when app is active in the background

Not sure what this is, but I've had some trouble with my phone overheating / losing battery over the last day or so. After some investigation I found that Habitica was using a significant amount of battery in the background, I just switched off notifications, did a force stop, and put it to sleep. Hopefully that'll fix the issue, could just be a problem with my phone. I've attached screenshots of the relevant battery consumption data.

i haven't seen the same behavior on my device, nor have we heard this from other users at the moment. it may be related to the age of their device or the fact they're running on android 10? something not workin well on older phones?
