P1, virtual

A “CheckIn” can be done with an empty Description field, even though it is marked as required.

I've had a look at this and, presuming that you are referring to checking in resources, I cannot reproduce the problem you describe. What happens for me is that the page refreshes, and the "new" resource that you are checking in is ignored.

Can you give a full description of exactly what you have done, and what you perceive the problem to be please?

Cheers.

On this page, https://crisischeckin-d.azurewebsites.net/, under "My Organization Resources", I was twice able to Report New Data by checking in a resource with a blank Description. That is, I chose the "NVOAD Test Disaster", left the Description field blank, filled out the other fields, and clicked the Checkin button.

To see the results:

  1. Go to https://crisischeckin-d.azurewebsites.net/Volunteer/ListbyDisaster.
  2. Select the "NVOAD Test Disaster".
  3. Leave the date filter blank.
  4. Click Go.

Under Field Reported Data you will see two entries made by the Organization "none - Tull, Michael", where the Description field is blank.
