PWM or AC voltage sources

How I would start to build up a simulation of analog circuits that include alternating or pulsing DC sources, like filters (LC, LCL, etc)?

If I understand correctly, the simplest thing by far is to use a voltagesource() and then provide the desired AC or PWM waveform as an input to the simulation.
