Group clusters of free-floating rental bikes
Right now when you have a cluster of free-floating bikes or scooters, digitransit shows them as individual "stations" with a capacity of one.
The visualisation for this is a little confusing:
Would it make sense to cluster these free-floating bikes just like bus stops and train stations are being clustered?
We could imagine a visualisation just like in the TIER app:
I found a scooter icon in the source so maybe free-floating is going to be added in Helsinki, too.
Do you have any plans for this?
As far as I know, we don't currently have plans for adding these free floating vehicles. We used to have a scooter rental network that had stations but it's no longer in use and I think we removed at least partly support for it in UI but the scooter icon might still be there.
However, I think this idea of clustering the vehicles is a good idea. I think we can accept the pull request if you happen to implement it. If at some point in the future we also start using them, we might do a design check on it and fine-tune the implementation but as I said, it's not going to happen in the near future at least.
