I think tutorials like the acl9_example project would be a great idea. In my opinion you have to work with acl9 to understand all benefits of this plugin.
I had the same issue. After [setting the dns configuration](https://docs.docker.com/config/containers/container-networking/#dns-services) everything works fine and it resolves the domains. Maybe this helps anyone here.
