Point to Point Connection (Wifi direct) for better FPS

First things first, weylus is an awesome project! The only thing I recognised is that the framerate is about 20FPS. In order to improve the framerate i would like to suggest to connect weylus directly with a host. especially for streaming of 60FPS content it would be good to achieve at least 30FPS which could be achieved via point to point connection.

Maybe using the router to establish the connection between the devices and then switch to WiFi Direct via the Weylus UI.

Have you considered setting your computer up as a WiFi hotspot itself, so see if it is any faster than connecting via your router's WiFi Access Point? It might be worth doing this first before exploring further.

That could be a good test. But those tests should be performed from different set ups. Miracast and The property WiiU Wifi Streaming shows that you can reach up to 60 FPS with point to point. However the setup is important (Wifi 11.ac and 11.ax

Have you tried cable? Either via the adb (see the readme) or via a ethernet adapter to your phone? This should result in the highest possible connection bandwidth without the need for weylus to do network configuration

Yes of course. The features of weylus are amazing. This is just a proposal to make weylus better. The WiFi Direct possibility is a great way to overcome bottlenecks from routers and the environment
