Mouse cursor not displayed after weylus start

Open renato-lombardo opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

On my Ubuntu 21.10 with nvidia drivers mouse cursor disappears from all my monitors after launching weylus. Luckily it is not a serious problem: if I reload gnome-shell (alt-F2, and then 'r') the problem is fixed. But I wonder if this could be a problem somehow.

Another user mentioned this as well, see https://github.com/H-M-H/Weylus/issues/133#issuecomment-1003801953. I suspect gnome is trying to be clever here. Weylus simulates a touchscreen and gnome probably thinks that you do not need a mouse cursor in this case. I can't reproduce this with KDE. Maybe you can even configure this in gnome.

Hiding the cursor is not something explicitly done by Weylus.
