Rate Limit Plex Requests
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When Plexus is indexing Plex, it pegs my PMS CPU at 100%. I also get a decent amount of this warning: WARNING:urllib3.connectionpool:Connection pool is full, discarding connection: 192.168.0.10. Connection pool size: 10 I'm running Plexist on a separate machine.
Describe the solution you'd like Rate limit requests to Plex.
Describe alternatives you've considered I tried APPEND_INSTEAD_OF_SYNC on and off but that didnt make a difference. I could try moving my PMS from my Synology DS920+ with a 4 core celeron to another machine with an Intel i5 8500, but I have a feeling it would still max out the CPU. I did change the SECONDS_TO_WAIT to one week since that's plenty for my usage.
I'll take a look at this because I also run it on a separate machine, a 1 core vm (Debian on WinServer) with a large library.
Can you share some logs if you can and if anyone else sees this and faced the issue let me know.
I run my plex server in a lxc container with 2 threads (1 core) of a 5950x and haven't seen this. My music library isn't huge though. About 1.6k artist, 19.6k albums and 134k tracks. I have maybe 10 playlist synced to append from spotify. Some are only 4 to 6 hours and a couple are over 24 hours. it only takes a few minutes for plexist to run for me each day.
Thanks for taking a look. Here's the log file. It took about 35 minutes to run. My music library is "tiny" at 10,800 tracks.
