Google maps issue
I've noticed that recently when using Google maps navigation and pocket casts (I'm assuming it does the same with other apps) the media progress bar disappears and doesn't reappear until I force close pocket casts and reopen it. Other media apps work fine after I stop Google maps. I'm using v2. 1
Hi! I just tested this but it seems to be working as intended. When pocket casts is playing the progress bar shows up. When you start navigating with google maps pocket casts is paused by the gps instructions so the bar disappears, but when the media is resumed automatically the progress bar comes back. Is this not what's happening for you?
I think it's inconsistent, which doesn't help. It was working the other day, but not before, and now it's not again. I just noticed right now (I'm not using Google maps) that it's not working, so I think it's unrelated to Google maps maybe, and is perhaps just related to Pocket casts. Again, closing and reopening it fixes it temporarily. I've not noticed this behavior with anything else.

I think I've found outa bit more about what might be causing this. Starting media playback from a Bluetooth device (headphones,watch or in my case my car radio) while the screen is off seems to stop it showing up for some reason. I have given noti accessibility permissions so idk why this is the case.
You're right, there was a bug with starting in the lockscreen. I've fixed it and submitted a new release, but I'm not sure this was the same problem you were having with pocket casts. Could you test it when you get the new update please?
I cant say whether there's still an issue with Maps as it was pretty inconsistent to begin with, but I've tried the new update and the Bluetooth issue is definitely fixed so I imagine the issue with Maps is also fixed.
Just thought I'd mention, this issue has cropped up again, same problem as last time, using pocket casts and Google maps connected to my car Bluetooth, Noti stops working. Sorry there's nothing new to add, just thought I'd let you know whatever bug is causing it might still be at large.
