with the latest Android Studio Chipmunk 2021.2.1 Canary 5

error: e: ...common-compose-module-configs-script-plugin.gradle.kts: (8, 1): Expression 'android' cannot be invoked as a function. The function 'invoke()' is not found

I'm getting the same build failure.

Same error on latest Chipmunk Canary

Hmm it seems to be working for me on this Bumblebee beta1. Not sure what beta3 has added. Let me try it out also make sure if it asks you to upgrade gradle version please do.

The IDE didn't ask me to upgrade the gradle version. What version of gradle should be used? I didn't see Gradle version info in the README

The Gradle version is OK, may be the problem is your Kotlin plugins' version is older.
